I created this fun book, Spanish Pick-Up Lines, for two reasons.  The first reason is that it is fun.  The second reason is that it is a great way to practice words & phrases that I do not normally use when conversing with Catherine in Spanish.

It is dorky and fun, and I can create an emotional connection with the words and phrases.  When having that fun, it helps to increase my learning and retention speed.  This is not the only way to learn, but it helps me.

Spanish Pick-Up Lines: A Fun and Educational Journey

Dive into the world of Spanish with “Spanish Pick-Up Lines,” a book that combines humor, romance, and language learning uniquely and engagingly.

Created by Doug Franklin, this book serves as both a source of entertainment and an educational tool for those looking to expand their Spanish vocabulary and conversational skills. There are many more in the genus, so if you would like, please check them out HERE.

Our Spanish Pick-Up Lines Example – If Kissing You Was A Sin:

Si besarte fuera pecado, caminaría feliz por el infierno. – (If kissing you was a sin, I’d happily walk through hell.)

Tengo 206 huesos en mi cuerpo. ¿Quieres darme otro? – (I have 206 bones in my body. Want to give me another one?)

The first reason to practice is for the fun.  Well, it is a dorky pick-up line that brought laughter into the house, so check that block!  Yeah!

The second reason is that I am using words that I do not normally use in conversations around the house, like ‘bone’ ‘sin’, ‘hell’, the number ‘206’, and ‘walk’.  We typically talk about things like food for dinner, plans, work schedules, and stuff that needs to get done.  And realistically, if you are telling your spouse to ‘go walk through hell’ regularly, you probably have bigger problems than I can help with!
