Summary:
Chapter 5)
John finds an eatery serving simple fare and contemplates the cycle of recycling human waste into food crops, before sorting through a vendor’s bin of discarded weapon parts to assemble functional pistols.
Chapter 6)
John spends frustrating hours wandering the maze-like corridors and decrepit commercial levels deep inside a massive apartment building, searching for a shady vendor to illegally purchase the gear he needs.
Chapter 7)
John finally locates a seedy shop owner willing to sell him working pistols and ammunition, but only after haggling over the “junk” parts and gear.
