Summary:
Chapter 73:
CEO Phyllip Chroynos reveals to Samson video evidence of the genocide on Luculenus, where his sister was killed 25 years ago. The footage shows a battleship methodically destroying the planet and its inhabitants. Chroynos explains that he kept this information secret due to concerns about internal security leaks. Samson learns that the attacking ship belongs to White Star corporation, raising questions about corporate involvement in the genocide.
Chroynos tasks Samson with hunting down those responsible and setting up a covert intelligence network. The chapter also explores the complex relationship between Earth and the Corporate Empires, highlighting Earth’s control through terraforming patents and legal systems. Finally, Chroynos acknowledges Samson and Persephone’s relationship, effectively considering them married under Empire law, and assigns Samson as the new head of house security.
