Dr. AJ Vazquez chiropractic experience

Dr. AJ Vazquez is the primary practitioner at League City, Texas, Texas Spine Rehab clinic. Dr. Vazquez graduated from the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas with academic recognition. He did his internship and clinical rotations with the best doctors in the Houston area. His clinical rotations included internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy, and chiropractic medicine. Dr. AJ Vazquez has continued his education by completing an extra 2 years of postgraduate Acupuncture clinical training. He has training in soft tissue therapies and techniques such as myofascial release, active release technique, kinesiotaping (for joint injuries), Graston technique certification, gentle mechanical adjusting, extremity adjusting (ex. ankle, wrist), sport-specific analysis, and pre-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation. Dr. Vazquez volunteers his time at local youth athletic events in Houston and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Vazquez is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the Pro Football Chiropractic Association. Dr. Vazquez is on the Doctor’s List for the Texas Workers Compensation System and has completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner program. Dr. Vazquez is currently in a fellowship program with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and Texas Chiropractic College where he has completed 250 hours of post-graduate Acupuncture training and has treated over 1,000 patients. Dr. Vazquez is a Graston technique practitioner and certified in Kinesiotaping.
Due to the vast improvements and latest discoveries in research, Dr. Vazquez gives top priority to continuing education. Throughout the year, he attends classes and seminars conducted by various acupuncture, chiropractic, nutrition, and sports medicine organizations.
Personal
Dr. Vazquez was raised in Del Rio, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Vazquez worked with athletes and the general public throughout his time at Texas A&M University. Dr. Vazquez completed his cardiac rehabilitation internship in the San Antonio Medical Center. Dr. Vazquez worked as an Exercise Physiologist in a cardiology lab and rehab clinic before attending professional school. He enjoys watching and participating in various sporting events, martial arts training, and spending time with his family. Dr. Vazquez donates his time at various church functions in the League City/ Dickinson area.
Dr. AJ Vazquez was introduced to Chiropractic Care after being active in high school and college athletics. He initially visited his family doctor and surgeon specialist with little change in his low back symptoms. He worked in a Cardiology lab when his boss (heart doctor) suggested that he try chiropractic for his low back injury. After a few weeks of therapy, exercise, and lifestyle modifications, Dr. Vazquez was able to return to exercise and a normal lifestyle. It was this personal experience that directed Dr. Vazquez into conservative care.
Philosophy
Dr. Vazquez brings the utmost advanced chiropractic and diagnostic skills to all League City and Dickinson patients. He gives them warm, caring, and individualized attention and fellowship. He believes that every adult has the right to know exactly what his or her diagnosis is, and what is needed to return to optimum health. Dr. Vazquez welcomes all patient questions and commits to answering them in an honest and forthright manner.
