To book, or not to book?
I know that I prefer reading real books, no batteries and I like the tactile ability to mark pages that are important for reference. I have some hard copy books that are just fuzzy halved post-it notes with key points highlighted. I have others that are just really nice to look at on giant book stacks!
As glorious as that perfidious pile of literature is I don’t seem to be able to move hard copies of my own work. Over the last 10 years of having my writing published, only about 1/275 books I’ve sold have been physical copies. I’m in the process of transferring my catalogue and building a proper infrastructure to support my published work this time.
My other dilemma is that I love audio books! With the resources and time, I’d fill my kindle with Ray Porter narrating the Bobby-Verse & Craig Alanson’s hilarious sci-fi. The other side from the entertainment is my troves of learning books on audible.
I know that it shouldn’t even be a question for me that I need hard copy books. It’s just formatting and modified cover art, right? I really don’t know what my hang up is. I know I need to get Guardsman reformatted and release Razormouth new. I suspect that it is more the order or operations than the actual doing… Don’t even get me started on finding a voice actor for my varied fiction.

I’m a tedious speaker and put people to sleep. Not the greatest aspect for an Audible narrator.
I disagree, but am quite biased.
It’s your work, no one will know the nuance better than you.
